The Kids are Alright
Jordan Ali from The Kardiak Kids and I appeared on Rogers Daytime Monday to promote Mindful Music (July 16) www.ontarioshores.ca/mindfulmusic. The Alis are a great family and have been truly supportive of Ontario Shores. This will be the third time The Kardiak Kids have played on our grounds and each time it is a treat. Thanks to Rogers for helping get the word out.

Best of the Best
Spacing Magazine selected the Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences property as one of the top 5 public spaces in the Toronto GTA.
Let me quote.. "the architecture of the psychiatric hospital manages to make the waterfront something grander. Pathways direct pedestrians to a treed parkland and Lake Ontario beyond, fostering the mental health of patients and visitors alike."

Senator Homes
I did some door-to-door knocking in the Senator Homes development June 6. For those of you that were not home or I missed, I wanted to welcome you to the neighbourhood and introduce myself to you. I also wanted to invite you and your families to an event we are hosting that we hope you will join us for. Visit us at  www.ontarioshores.ca/mindfulmusic for details.
It's nice to see the process of this community coming together. While it does get a little dusty with the recycling trucks coming through one worker aptly told me, "well it is a construction zone." Touche my good man.
Dust or no dust, welcome to the neighbourhood and enjoy your new home.

Perfect Weather
The weather was perfect for Whitby Shores Public School's BBQ yesterday (a little windy but sure beats the rain). I hope many of you had a chance to stop and talk with myself or Krista at our Ontario Shores booth. I had the chance to speak with some familiar faces and meet some new families as well. A few of you had some questions about the Durham Community Clinic in the Whitby Shores Plaza and the outpatient services it provides. We also welcomed the opportunity to make you aware of the July 16 free Mindful Music/Community Day event we are hosting and hope our great neighbours can join us for a day of family fun for all ages.
