Text Transcript
Alica:
I started working at Ontario Shores two years ago on the
Assessment and Stabilization Unit
and I consolidated there as a student. I’ve always had an interest in mental health and it was an awesome environment to get started. I loved the opportunity to work with different patients and the staff here are very welcoming. You can go to any unit and they will welcome you there and teach you the routine. I feel comfortable floating around here getting to know all the different patients and staff.
If you want to get a chance to use your mental health skills, those soft skills that are so valuable this is a great place. The staff is welcoming and the patients are great.
Narrator:
1 in 4 Canadians are affected by mental illness at some point in their lives. For more information about mental illness or Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, visit www.ontarioshores.ca.
