Tour Guides
Our knowledgeable volunteer tour guides are often staff of Ontario Shores, members of the community and/or former patients. There is an application and interview process to become a tour guide, and guides receive in-depth training.
On Thursday, July 21, Ontario Shores welcomed a group of students participating in the Summer Youth in Policing Project hosted by Durham Regional Police Service.
Class of '56:
In 1956, the group of women pictured above graduated from the School of Nursing at Ontario Shores, then known as Ontario Hospital, Whitby. On Monday, July 18, they returned for a reunion and a tour of the modern facility.
During orientation all new Ontario Shores staff members, students and volunteers receive a tour of the facility by one of our volunteer tour guides.
