The Adolescent Day Treatment Program at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) supports youth who have a mental health diagnosis and who are struggling with their day to day functioning as a result of the symptoms.
This program provides mental health and education services in a local community high school to support students as they transition into a community setting. The Adolescent Day Treatment Program is an intensive multi-week program. The program is staffed by an interdisciplinary team, social worker, child and youth counsellor, psychiatrist and Grove School teacher.
Services include:
- Psychiatric assessment and medication management
- Individual, family, and group therapy
- Life skills and relational practice
- Educational remediation and instruction
For ages 14-18
Eligibility:
Adolescents 14 to 18 years of age, with a diagnosed mental illness impacting daily functioning.
Referrals are accepted by individuals, families, healthcare providers or social service organizations within Durham Region.
