Guest Artist of the Month Program

The Guest Artist of the Month Program was developed by the Ontario Shores Art Gallery in 2013 to promote original and professional  artwork. This initiative offers an opportunity for artists to have their own art show and provides the community with an opportunity to view and enjoy quality art in an accessible venue. Gallery space is available throughout the year and exhibits are shown on a monthly basis.

The Call to Artists is open to solo artists or groups. Artists with a connection to mental health are encouraged to apply.

How do I apply to become a guest artist?

You can submit a proposal to the Ontario Shores Art Gallery at any time for consideration for the Guest Artist of the Month Program. The proposal should include:

  • Guest Artist of the Month Application
  • Artist Statement, Biography or Curriculum Vitae
  • CD or USB with 12-15 high resolution JPEG images of your artwork
  • Electronic listing of artwork including title, size, media and price of each piece (See Artwork Details Template)
  • High resolution JPEG image of artist (optional)
  • Self-addressed, stamped envelope for materials to be returned (optional)

Art work must be original, two dimensional format, no larger than 48”x60” and ready to hang.

Submit proposal to the Art Gallery by mail or by hand, addressed to:

The Art Committee looks for artwork that creates impact, displays technical competence and is presented professionally.
