For ages 18 +

The Women's Acute Stabilization Unit (WASU) at Ontario Shores is a 5-bed dedicated unit that supports female inmates with acute mental health needs.

Age 12 + 

The Prompt Care Clinic at Ontario Shores provides care for individuals who require timely access to psychiatric services, but do not require an emergency department visit.  A psychiatrist and/or nurse practitioner provides a clinical assessment for the purpose of providing diagnostic, and treatment recommendations that is sent back to the referral source.

For ages 65+

The Geriatric Transitional Outreach (GTO) service provides short-term consultation and/or transitional support to seniors who are 65+ with general mental health (mood, anxiety, psychosis), and/or Dementia related illness. Time-limited support is provided at home or a retirement residence for individuals who cannot attend in-person or OTN appointments. Individuals must have a primary care provider and must require geriatric-specific care.

For ages 18+

In Ontario, adults with depression and anxiety-related conditions can access publicly-funded, evidence-based, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and related approaches to help manage their conditions. CBT is a structured, time-limited therapy that is problem-focused and goal-oriented and teaches practical strategies and skills.

CBT and related approaches can be accessed through the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) Program for the following conditions:

For ages 18-65

Two Assertive Community Treatment Teams (ACTT) are operated by Ontario Shores. ACTT Durham and ACTT Haliburton, Kawartha and Peterborough Region (HKPR) are interprofessional clinical teams that provide treatment, recovery and support services to individuals with a serious mental illness and who require a high degree of support in their community. Crisis service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The program brings mental health services to patients in the community on a long-term basis and with flexible levels of intensity.

For ages 18+

The Forensic Outpatient Service (FOS) at Ontario Shores provides community-based treatment and rehabilitation for patients who have been discharged from Ontario Shores, but remain under the jurisdiction of the Ontario Review Board (ORB).
