Care Tailored to Your Needs

This is an exciting time for all of us at the Shoppers LOVE. YOU. Women’s Clinic at Ontario Shores.

Thanks to a generous contribution by the Shoppers LOVE.YOU. campaign, the Women’s Clinic will now be able to offer greater support to women dealing perinatal mood disorders and other reproductive issues that affect a woman’s mental health with a combination of mental health and reproductive issues.

While we are located in Whitby, the Women’s Clinic services are available to women throughout our catchment area, which includes Durham Region, York Region, Scarborough, Toronto, Haliburton, Northumberland, Peterborough Counties and the City of Kawartha Lakes.

We also provide service via technology through the use of the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN). That means that our patients can attend appointments through videoconferencing without leaving the comfort of their own home. It’s a great tool and one that is being utilized by patients more and more each day.

For those coming to our facility for appointments, be sure to know that we are family friendly. You are welcome to bring your baby with you to appointments and there is a changing table located nearby.
Also, we are lucky to have a Family Resource Centre (FRC) at Ontario Shores. The FRC is a dedicated, therapeutic space for families to share knowledge, access resources and connect with other families for support and encouragement.

The FRC offers family-to-family networking, educational programs and is home to a play area for small children. It’s a great place to visit to either access support or to simply take a break before or after an appointment.

This is just one of the resources available at Ontario Shores.

For those who feel they may be in need of care through the Women’s Clinic or are interested in the work being done at Ontario Shores each day, I encourage you to read through our website and visit our Facebook page to learn more about our organization.

Through this blog I will update visitors regularly on Women’s Clinic activities and share news and resources impacting women dealing with mental health and reproductive issues.

I look forward to engaging with you.
