Diversion Programs

Mental health diversion programs provide mental health services and supports to adults who have mental health needs and are in contact with the criminal justice system for minor offences. These programs help divert individuals from entering the justice system and/or provide mental health services to those currently in the justice system. Programs encompass a variety of services and supports, including crisis response/emergency services, safe beds, housing, case management, peer support, and links to social, education and employment supports.
