We are now offering over 20 different webinars/seminars specializing in all different areas of managing our mental health. Our latest webinar focuses on how to recognize signs and symptoms of mental illness in employees during COVID-19 pandemic, as well as techniques on how to help. Other seminars/webinars include strategies on coping with stress, learning how to be mindful in our day to day lives, and helping busy parents juggling working and child care at home. Participant outcomes:
- Provides front line employees with a greater understanding about the facts and myths of mental illness in the workplace.
- Creates a better understanding on the importance of having a mentally healthy and safe work environment from both a cost and health perspective.
- Helps employees recognize the signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety in co-workers.
- Increases knowledge on additional resources and tools such as MHFA, The National Standard, EAP

- Target audience: senior executives, union representatives and front line employees
Content Included:
This workshop is an Ontario Shores created education course that focuses on how prevalent mental illnesses and stigmatized attitudes are recognized throughout the Canadian work organizations. In our effort to reduce stigma in the workplace, we will educate your participants on how to recognize signs and symptoms of depression and anxiety and how to respond. The workshop will end with a discussion about next steps including Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) and The National Standard for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace or more information about your organization’s EAP resources.
Participant Outcomes:
- Provides executives and leaders with a better understanding on the importance of creating and maintaining a mentally healthy and safe work environment.
- Decreases stigmatized attitudes and proves that mental illness is a condition to be managed. Increases knowledge about additional tools and resources such as MHFA, The National Standard and EAP resources.
- 12 hours (two full days or four 3 hour sessions)
- Minimum of 15, maximum of 25 people per session
- Target Audience: front line managers, human resource professionals, union representatives, senior management and front line employees
Content Included:
This workshop is a Mental Health Commission of Canada certified training program. It comes with a certification that is similar to the standard First Aid/CPR certification. For more information on this training program, please visit our MHFA page.
Participant outcomes:
- Provides front-line managers and employees with the greater confidence in responding to workplace stress and trauma.
- Increases employees’ knowledge of mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse and psychotic episodes.
- Gives participants the knowledge on how to respond to someone who is experiencing mental health conditions through set action plans and crisis intervention strategies.
- Decreases stigmatizing attitudes
- Assist managers and human resource employees, this training discusses workplace accommodations and return to work process.
