Dual Diagnosis Outreach

The Dual Diagnosis Outreach program at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) provides assessment and psychiatric consultation services to individuals with an intellectual developmental disorder and complex psychiatric problem which may include challenging behaviour. 

Outreach services include a comprehensive assessment and psychiatric consultation. Assistance connecting with community resources may also be provided.

Individuals must be between the ages of 18 and 65 years and have an intellectual developmental disorder in the mild to severe range that has been identified prior to 18 years of age.

How to access this service

Referrals are accepted from a physicians and psychiatrists. Documented proof of intellectual disability may be required.
