Run for Women, brought to you by the LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug Mart program - Whitby Location

We are beyond excited to have been chosen as one of 18 local charities across Canada supporting women's mentalRun for Women health initiatives through the Run for Women.

Every dollar raised from the 5k run/walk, 10k run, and Little Steps program at the Ontario Shores Whitby location will support our LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug Mart Women's Clinic and other women's mental health initiatives at our hospital.

At this time, all Run for Women events schedule after June 1 (which include Ontario Shores) will proceed as planned. However all decisions will be guided by the direction of public health and we will keep you posted on new developments. Fingers crossed everyone!




Regional Chair's Classic in Memory of Roger Anderson

And the tradition continues! We are once again honored to be a part of the Regional Chair’s classic. Last year $280,000regional chairs classic was raised to support students in financial need from Durham College and UOIT and the programs at Ontario Shores. To date over $6.8 million has been raised!

PAD Walk in Support of Ontario Shores

Paul Dick is a patient of Ontario Shores and on March 10 will be flying out to British Columbia to start his walk acrossPAD walk Canada to raise awareness and funds for Ontario Shores. Paul lives with bipolar disorder and it took him over 25 years to received the correct care for his illness. He feels very strongly that there is not enough mental health help for those who need it, and that is why he is raising money for our hospital.

His walk begins on March 21 in Victoria and Paul has created a GoFundMe page in support of his incredible journey.

Defeat Depression - Durham Region Annual Walk and Talk for Mental Health - NOW VIRTUAL!

Defeat Depression events take place at over 90 locations across Canada, and we are excited to once again be a part ofdefeat depression walk this amazing event supporting the Prompt Care Clinic at Ontario Shores!

Defeat Depression Durham Region Walk & Talk for Mental Health Has Gone Virtual!

On May 31 be sure to get out or stay in, simply take part in any wellness activity alone or with your family and post it to social media using the hashtag #DefeatDepressionChallenge!

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, Defeat Depression has changed how their events are being held. The goal is to ensure residents continue to be able to take part in the campaign to support their local mental health resources in a manner that is safe, fun and provides the opportunity to help everyone’s mental wellness. Now more than ever, we must support mental health services and encourage our community to stay healthy!

Par for the Cause - Teeing up funds in support of innovative treatments for cancer and mental health!

We are grateful to have been chosen as one of the charities for this year's Par for the Cause golf event! The founders ofpar for the cause this charity event are those whose families have been touched by cancer and mental health issues. Their mission is to increase awareness and deliver financial support to innovative research, treatment and programs for those affected by these illnesses.

The funds raised will be divided equally between The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and Ontario Shores.
