Goals
Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) wants to do our part to protect and preserve the environment. Ontario Shores will promote cost-effective business practices consistent with the following principles:
- Adhere to all environmental laws and regulations
- Support and encourage recycling of materials used within the hospital
- Minimize waste when procuring goods and services
- Ensure that contaminated waste is disposed of in a safe and responsible manner
- Implement projects and methods which limit use of non-renewable resources
- Pursue conservation of water resources and energy efficiency
- Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
- Maximize funding opportunities and incentives related to energy saving initiatives
