Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences officially opened its new Geriatric Transitional Unit (GTU) on Monday, February 5. GTU is a 20-bed inpatient; 59-day length of stay, unit that provides specialized services to meet the mental health needs of individuals with #dementia and presenting with challenging behaviour or severe psychiatric symptomatology.
