Joe Blomeley

Joe Blomeley is Executive Vice President, Head of Health Services & Enterprise Growth at Green Shield, an integrated health services organization and the first in Canada to be both a payer (offering insurance, administering benefits, and paying claims) and a provider (offering medical, mental health, and pharmacy services). Uniquely structured as a not-for-profit social enterprise, Green Shield is passionate about promoting better health for all, with a focus on mental and oral health. 

With nearly 20 years of experience spanning public policy, government relations, insurance and mental health, Joe’s position at Green Shield combines his expertise in enterprise growth with his passion for promoting meaningful change. Joe’s leadership style is defined by his desire to roll up his sleeves and turn vision into action. 

Joe is a proud graduate of both Carleton and Western University, and currently serves as both chair and board member for the Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health. He has also held board and advisory positions with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Mental Health Association, York Region.
