The Board of Directors of Ontario Shores Foundation for Mental Health (Ontario Shores Foundation) is pleased to welcome Shannon Stuart as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation.

As an accomplished fundraising professional, Ms. Stuart brings more than 20 years’ experience to the role. She joins the Ontario Shores Foundation team from her role at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation where she was the Senior Campaign Director.

Ms. Stuart has spent the last 18 years as The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation where she developed compelling annual giving programs, meaningful donor stewardship activities, successful capital campaigns and research campaigns, and countless major gift fundraising programs.

“The Foundation Board is thrilled to welcome Shannon to the role,” says Karen Adams, Board Chair. “She is a seasoned healthcare leader who brings extensive fundraising experience and passion for building connections and making a difference through her work.”

“As a Whitby resident, I am excited about the opportunity to translate the expertise I have gained throughout my career to the field of mental health and join an innovative organization that has such a significant impact on the mental health and well-being of our community,” says Ms. Stuart.

Ms. Stuart will work collaboratively with the Foundation team to build fundraising programs to support the growing demands of the hospital in areas such as adolescent care, dementia, anti-stigma initiatives, recovery-focused space, innovation and outpatient services.

“All of us at Ontario Shores are grateful for the generosity and support we have received from our donors to date,” says Karim Mamdani, President and CEO.  “We look forward to Shannon’s efforts as she builds on these relationships and grows our fundraising initiatives to support the advancement of mental health treatment across our programs and services.”
