Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) is proud to be named once again as a Greater Toronto's Top Employer for the third consecutive year.

Today, Ontario Shores was among select organizations named one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers for 2019 following a competition that evaluated employers on several criteria including work atmosphere, vacation benefits, training and development, financial and health benefits, physical environment, and community involvement.

“At the heart of our culture is compassion and caring for people who struggle with the devastating impacts of mental illness,” says Karim Mamdani, President and CEO, Ontario Shores. “Our greatest strength is our people and we are fortunate to have a dedicated team of staff who care deeply about the work they do and each other.”

In its 13th year of recognizing employers who foster a culture which creates and maintains a desirable workplace, the competition has become a benchmark for organizations striving for excellence.

It’s the third consecutive year in which Ontario Shores has been celebrated as one Greater Toronto’s Top Employers.

Ontario Shores and its fellow recipients were officially unveiled in Toronto and are featured in a special magazine in The Globe and Mail.

This achievement is one of many moments the organization expects to celebrate during the months leading up to its 100th anniversary on October 23, 2019.

Along with seizing opportunities to recognize the hospital’s early beginnings and decades of growth as a care provider, Ontario Shores is intent on engaging its communities in a year-long conversation about mental health.
