Geriatric Mental Health Clinic

The Geriatric Mental Health Clinic is for seniors aged 65 and older with a psychiatric concern that is either treatment resistant or complex in nature presenting with one or more of the following: cognitive changes, behavioural changes, mood changes, anxiety or psychotic symptoms.

For ages 65+

Inclusion Criteria
  • Aged 65+
  • Psychiatric concern that is either treatment resistant or complex in nature
  • Presenting with one or more of the following: cognitive changes, behavioural changes, mood changes, anxiety or psychotic symptoms
  • Diagnosis is unclear
  • Suspected early (age) onset dementia
  • Unusual/atypical presentations
  • Cognitive difficulties may co-exist with complex medical problems and/or psychiatric issues
Service Access

Referrals are accepted from specialists (psychiatrists, neurologists and geriatricians), family physicians and nurse practitioners. Referrals are accepted from within our primary service area.
