Transitional Aged Youth (TAY)

The Transitional Aged Youth (TAY) service consists of an inter-professional team who provides specialized services for high-need transitional aged youth population.  Individuals are offered a period of assessment, medication stabilization and/or individual or group psychotherapy treatment focusing on symptom management and support.

Services offered:

  • Cognitive  Behaviour Therapy (CBT) – Unified Protocol (12-16 weeks)
  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) (6 months)
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT for Trauma) (12 weeks)
  • One-time consultation or assessment with a psychiatrist or Nurse Practitioner

CBT and DBT are offered in both group and individual formats.  CPT is offered only on an individual basis.


For ages 16-24

Inclusion Criteria

Individuals 16 to 24 years old, who have prominent symptoms of mood, anxiety disorders, trauma disorders or borderline personality disorder, and who are agreeable to attending individual or group therapy with a clinician every 1-2 weeks.

Service Access

Referrals are accepted from a current psychiatrist, family physician or Nurse Practitioner for further assessment and treatment.
