Steven Wolff is Chief Executive Officer of CIBC Mellon, a Canadian leader in asset servicing. The team at CIBC Mellon is proud to provide safekeeping, accounting and administration services and data solutions to many of Canada’s largest institutional investors. Reporting to the Board of Directors of CIBC Mellon, Steven is responsible for the overall strategy and performance of the company.

Prior to joining CIBC Mellon, Steven was Chief Executive Officer of the Nova Scotia Pension Services Corporation, which administers the pension benefits and investment assets of two of Nova Scotia’s largest public sector pension plans. He also held senior level positions in risk management and investment operations at State Street Bank and Trust Company, where he led teams in Canada, the Cayman Islands, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

Steven is a former Chair of the Board of Directors of The Learning Partnership. He is a former Vice Chair of the Actuarial Standards Oversight Council. Steven was a founding member of the Canadian Public Pension Leadership Council.

In addition to his more 35 years of experience in financial services and investment administration, Steven holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and an MBA from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.
